Virtual particles
In quantum physics there are many particles like electron, proton, neutron, quarks, muons , mesons, bosons, photons etc. but there is a special kind of particle known as virtual particle.
These particle are the strangest particles ever discovered. As per to quantum physics the space is made up of a quantum field in which 1 cubic metre of empty space contains a mass of about 4 protons. This mass is responsible for generation of this particles
The most special thing about it is the particles form anywhere in the space in a pair. The life of this particles is fraction of the second. The particles forms and dissappear.
The particles formed are having same mass but one in negative and other in positive. For instance 1 particle is having mass of 1 kg then other will have mass of -1kg (this is just e.g actual mass is very very small)
If talk about space time curvature the positive particles bends it and negative particle rise a bump

Virtual particles
This particles are responsible for the evaporation of black hole
The negative particle of the pair get attracted to black hole and positive particle is thrown away at almost speed of light. The negative mass reduce the mass of black hole and the positive part is no more virtual becoming a real particle. This particle are caught in form of radiation. The radiation are known by a famous scientist. The radiation is called Hawking radiation, these are use to detect the size and location of black hole.
