The theory of relativity
The most famous scientist in the history. Prof albert einstein, who is always associated with the most interesting, strange, mind blowing theory that show us the most strange behaviour of time and space. The theory of relativity.
The theory is divided into 2 parts
1. General relativity
2. Special relativity.
General relativity
This tells us that there is no absolute rest or motion.
As a person is standing near u is rest for u but as earth is moving and galaxy is also moving hence u are not at rest
Special relativity
This is quiet interesting. It has some constant. This tells us that speed of light~3*10^8m/s is constant for everyone. Whenu travel near speed of light (99%) speed of light will not be 3000km/s for u but 3*10^8m/s only. This arises a question that does 3rd person also observes it 3*10^8m/s?
The thing that happens is dilation of time. Yes this sounds some strange as it is different from what we experience every day. As your velocity increases the time around u get faster.
In short your 1 second is equal to 10 second of outer world. This states that you and your friend are of same age and you travel near speed of light and came back the age difference will be of many years. If we travel at the speed of light the time around us stops and we will be in the universe with everything ceases.
Hence as per to einstein, newton was wrong as per to newton's pricipia mathematicia vol.1 that states space and time is absolute. But in reality it is not. Time is not universal.
The formula for dilation of time is
Another phenomenon is increment in mass. Please note it is mass not weight. Mass increases with velocity. The increment in mass generates curvature of space time. When a particle travel at velocity of light the mass becomes infinite. The curvature of space time becomes infinite. Hypothetically it becomes a black hole. The increment in mass has same formula as dilation of time just have mass instead of time.
The last and quiet complecated concept is length contraction. In this the distance is inversly proportion of velocity. If a person at very low velocity observes distance 5km the particle near speed of light will see it only 500m.

This all phenomenon are proportional to velocity. If we have to see its effect on macro level we have to travel atleast at 90% of speed of light.
⚠️ speed of light is not relative to any one
Everyone is at rest for light
